Mr. Levi.
Learning more about the little guy constantly.
One thing. He is always up to something. Better keep your eye on him every second.
We tried to take a picture of his first bath. I turned for an instant to cheesy smile at the camera and look what the little guy decided to do. :) Turns out, he isn't so fond of the taste of soap.
Our first night together. Trying to start a routine of reading books in bed.
He did good. He slept the whole night through and woke up at 5:30 this morning. Marc and I, not so good. Up alot of the night thinking about him.
Favorite part of the day, talking to Caleb and Mei on "FaceTime". Mei lasts for about 15 seconds talking to us. Caleb does pretty good. Above is his smile when we saw Levi with us for the first time!
A really cool couple is here with us in Guangzhou, also with Holt, so we are together alot. They live in Portland and their daughter is the same age as Levi and from the same orphanage. Good times. This is their sweet daughter, Chloe.
Today was the official adoption day. We traveled back to the government office and had two interviews where they asked us questions like, "Are you satisfied with him?", and "Do you promise to never torture or abandon him?". Then had to sign all sorts of important papers. Today, in the eyes of the Chinese gov't, our adoption is complete. Praise Jesus.
One of Levi's most obvious coping mechanisms when he is scared or nervous is to scratch and/or hit his head. Luke is so sweet and just thinks he needs help scratching his head. As you can imagine, Luke is so attentive and soft-hearted towards him.
We've had plenty of "interesting" and/or hard moments. But when this guy shines his smile, it is incredible.
