Meili and her buddies

Yay for Meili, she is starting to get some friends. I just want to say that I have been so blessed by MY friends and how they have encouraged their daughters to befriend Meili. Their daughters have been SO sweet and kind and gentle and patient with Meili.  What a gift each of them is to me and Meili!

Nhu is my buddy from the 2nd grade.  She brought her twins (are they not the cutest?) down from P-town to hang out with us and also brought us some yummy authentic Chinese food.  That was soooo sweet of her as I have yet to do anything "Chinese" for Miss. Meili. Thanks Nhu!

When is the last time you rocked out with your buddies to the ABC's?
awwww.......

3 weeks post-op

Okay, is there ANYTHING more precious than a baby that is fresh and clean, lathered in powder and yummy lotion????  Nope.
Just wanted to document on here what our sweet Meili girl looks like 3 weeks after surgery.
She is doing really well.  Yesterday she had her tubes taken out of her nose and we are all so thankful for that.  The inside of her nose is still pretty raw and very sensitive.  Our job now is to rub her incision line between her nose and lip pretty hard as many times a day as we can in order to help her scar heal as good as possible.  And as you can imagine, our strong willed daughter hates that. But, other than that life at the Skipper home is very good right now.  Not easy, but very good.  To God be the glory.

"The most powerful thing in your life is your opportunity;  it is also the most irretrievable.  We must have clearness of vision and a quiet mind if we are to see it, and lay hands upon it as it hurries past us on very quiet feet and disappears as utterly as the day that has gone."
quote from Amy Carmichael

Praying that I have clearness of mind every morning to meet with my Jesus...to see what He puts before me that day....to know what is from Him.....and to have the boldness and selflessness to lay my hands upon the opportunities that He puts in my path.

Life is short.  Be PASSIONATE for Him.
